Driver/Service Tech

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and responsible Portable Restroom Service Driver to join our team. This position provides service to Boone, Ames, Des Moines and their surrounding areas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual committed to providing exceptional service while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of portable restrooms at various locations. The Service Driver will be responsible for the safe delivery, servicing, and upkeep of portable restroom units, ensuring they are fully stocked and maintained to meet our high hygiene standards. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the comfort and sanitation of our customers at events, construction sites, and other locations.

Duties

• Full time position, time varies with the season, Monday - Friday 7am until route is complete, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
• Safely and efficiently operate a company truck to deliver portable restrooms to assigned locations and service portable restrooms, tow portable toilet trailers, and set up events.
• Ensure timely delivery to designated locations while following specified routes.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance as required
• Load and unload portable units as necessary, which may involve heavy lifting.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving

Skill

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of performing tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing in and out of vehicles.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Navigate google/apple maps for route and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record and the ability to operate larger vehicles or trucks (CDL preferred but not required).
• Previous Experience: as a route driver or in a similar role preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (50-75 lbs.) and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Drug Screening & Background Check: Must be able to pass a routine drug screening and background check.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and meet delivery deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Customer Service Skills: Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinking to address challenges like location issues or unexpected requests.

Starting pay is $17/hr. Benefits offered to full-time employees are health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.
