Account Manager headcount available for employee group benefits provider in northwest Austin, TX.  Must be within daily commute of northwest Austin, TX.  Corporate office has 32-employees and supports a client base throughout 50 states and Puerto Rico. Seeking an experienced Account Manager.  Focus on client retention, renewals, and broker relationships.   Recruiting process and screening managed by off-site company HR professional. MUST-HAVE'S FOR THE ROLE / JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years' or more experience in account management; relationship management; client services; client retention or fulfillment; or with extensive management of client lifecycle deliverables.
  • Work history in one of the following:  corporate insurance brokerage; voluntary supplemental benefits organization; group medical benefits or group insurance industry; health plan design and delivery solutions; or with a regulated business platform that has a similar sales cycle.  
  • Intermediate skills in Excel; Microsoft 365 or Cloud based systems; Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Oracle CX or similar CRM (customer relationship management database software).
  • Prefer health insurance license (current or expired).  Company product is an adjunct to traditional medical insurance.  It's a market with lots of moving parts.  We need you to have a foundational understanding of medical benefits plans and key deliverables and timelines.  
  • Seeking a confident, inquisitive, motivated individual who thrives on fact finding and problem solving to achieve client satisfaction and retention. You should be able to stand your ground in dealing with assertive brokers or colleagues when it comes to client deliverables and performance objectives.
  • Documented experience in a revenue-driven corporate setting where your job performance is judged on metrics.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States. No sponsorship available at this time.
  • Reading or writing Spanish is a plus. Fluency in business English is required.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (A complete job description will be emailed to qualified applicants.)

  1. Manage Accounts: Execute the Client Promise Plan on the Post-Sales side. Manage client account with emphasis on client education / product differentiation; client support; and growing and achieving retention targets for each assigned account.
  2. Communicate & Follow-up: Cultivate external partner relationships: brokers, affinity group contacts, and client organizations. Provide high levels of visibility and responsiveness via phone, email, Teams calls and occasional face-to-face visits.
  3. Provide Service: Collaborate with employer’s internal client service team to fulfill client needs, service delivery and fulfillment requirements, and related economic objectives. Focus on achieving consistency and growth through enrollments and retention.
  4. Retain & Grow: Retain and grow the business, with emphasis on client and member retention and economic deliverables.
  5. Manage Post-Sale Deliverables: Oversee full lifecycle of the client relationship, post-sale. This includes but is not limited to Client Promise Plan definitions and implementation; becoming a SME (subject matter expert) for all aspects of client outcomes and experience; supporting the renewal process on an annual basis; and continuously communicating and coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
  6. Over-Communicate: Engage in consistent, proactive fact finding and communication both internally, and with external partners. Be a leader, not a follower. Stay on top of relationships, over-communicate, and be proactive.
  7. Use Multiple Software: Use computer systems to look up, track, and report on critical information. Software includes Excel; Oracle CX customer relationship management (CRM) software; Microsoft Office; and Teams. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is required.
  8. Assist in Problem Solving: Assist employer accounting department, if needed, by following up on invoicing and receivables matters.
  9. Conduct & Attend Meetings: Participate in formal and informal meetings on an ongoing basis. This includes video calls; phone calls; and occasional on-site client visits. Be prepared to travel less than 10%.
