POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a lab-based position with a focus on the setup and execution of micro and analytical testing along with all necessary activities in the support of the Micro and QC Departments through various functions to ensure not only internal but also external customers’ needs are met. This position is expected to effectively manage and prioritize work flow to accomplish tasks with limited supervision.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Accurately and safely perform micro and analytical testing, raw, in-process, finished, and stability sample using, wet and physical techniques which includes preparation of reagents, standards, test solutions, and mobile phase as required by the test procedure
- The aseptic preparation and testing of micro samples according to SOP
- Formulation and preparation of micro media
- Document all data in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and all specifications are met
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, logbooks, spreadsheets, and trackers ensuring they are kept up to date
- Maintain a clean and organized work area along with needed housecleaning, upkeep, and maintenance while promoting a safe and orderly work environment
- Assist in micro method validations, R&D, lab improvement, and safety activities as assigned
- Adhere to all site safety requirements including OSHA requirements, policies, and using required PPE
- Facilitates and supports activities and services necessary to the routine operations of the department, as assigned
- Provide guidance, and training to new or existing personnel as required
- Review solutions, media preparations and micro testing data
- Suggest, author, and review various QC/Micro and technical documents such as SOPs, TLFM’s, specifications, Etc.
- Identify, report and assist in the resolution of any aberrant/OOS/OOT or CAPA’s
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as required
