The role is responsible for leading the procurement and supply chain functions across the organization for mega critical infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies, optimizing supply chain processes, providing oversight of global supply partners, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and ensuring the efficient management of resources to drive operational excellence and cost savings. This role will report into the Chief Nuclear Officer. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic procurement plans by interpreting industry trends, customer requirements and business objectives; overseeing supply chain operations including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, quality, and distribution; monitoring market trends and adjusting strategies to address potential supply disruptions; driving procurement strategies and supplier engagement to ensure achievement of business objectives; identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain and procurement processes; building and executing the procurement process to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement requests with a focus on long lead items; developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers; managing procurement processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations; analyzing data to drive decision-making and improve effectiveness including use of advanced digital technologies; developing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals; collaborating internally and externally to build the supply chain, drive cost reduction and contract execution; providing fact-based analysis to support competitive market positioning and growth; conducting thorough assessments of potential suppliers; utilizing audits and site visits to evaluate supplier processes and quality controls; engaging with client leaders to understand requirements; leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing procurement and supply chain team; ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and storage requirements; establishing world class material management and tracking processes. Experience required includes 10+ years in procurement or supply chain management with at least 5 years in leadership, preferably in a highly regulated industry. Skills needed include leadership, communication, analytical skills, procurement transformation experience, expert knowledge of procurement best practices, strong negotiation and vendor management skills, understanding of compliance and risk management, ability to work with diverse teams, and willingness to travel. A bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required.
