A middle school in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Band Teacher for the uping academic year as a contracted position. The role involves delivering general education with a focus on music and band instruction to middle school students.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsements in music and band
• Experience teaching general education and music/band at the middle school level is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging band and music curricula aligned with state standards
• Lead and instruct band rehearsals, performances, and student ensembles
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate general education with music programming
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth

Schedule:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday
• Daily hours: 8:10 a.m. to 2:32 p.m.
