Accounts Payable Accountant | $18 / Hour | M-F 8am - 5pm

Job Description
As a Accounts Payable Accountant you will complete all processes related to paying vendors, including keying invoices, calculating and recording use tax, processing payments and scanning supporting documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Works effectively with others to deliver the highest quality of service on a continuous basis
- Follows HCMH standards of performance at all times that includes communicating clearly, concisely and respectfully with vendors and department representatives
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge to effectively complete assigned tasks accurately
- Works diligently with departments to insure timely payments.
- Maintains supporting documentation for accounts payable and general ledger.
- Establishment and maintenance of all vendor files including name, address, tax identification numbers (W-9), 1099 status, etc.
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate coding, including identifying prepaid and fixed assets.
- Accurately keys invoices and disbursement requests in CPSI for purchase order (PO) invoices and MultiView for non-PO invoices. Notes 1099 invoices as appropriate
- Calculates and records use tax if applicable.
- Scans invoice, disbursement request, W-9 and any other supporting documentation into CPSI or MultiView
- Uploads CPSI data into MultiView.
- Coordinates weekly Accounts Payable check runs and credit card payments. This process includes obtaining approval from Controller, Director of Finance, or Chief Financial Officer of invoices to be paid, printing checks or running credit card payments.
- Sends a copy of check run to Director of Finance
- Runs a “dummy” check run in CPSI to clear all CPSI payables after each check run.
- Reconcile accounts payable accounts to general ledger.
- Provides information monthly to Controller regarding purchase orders that have been issued but not invoiced. Provides accrual listing based on invoices processed to accurately record monthly expenses to all departments.
- Assists with the 1099 process
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-2 years in the accounts payable environment
- Associates degree desired in related accounting field
- MS Office Suite experience with confidence in MS Excel
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
- Must have required vaccinations for healthcare environment

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $18.00 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
