Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires proficiency in various transportation management systems and strong problem-solving skills to optimize routes and schedules.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring efficient routing of shipments.
• Utilize Oracle Transportation Management and other software tools to manage logistics operations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Monitor GPS tracking systems to ensure timely deliveries and address any delays or concerns.
• Maintain accurate data entry records related to shipments, schedules, and driver performance.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers to streamline supply chain processes.
• Analyze transportation data using GIS tools to improve route efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during transportation operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination.
• Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, AS400, or similar systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and 3PL operations.
• Proficient in using GPS technology for tracking shipments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
• Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with GIS tools is a plus but not required.
