Medical Assistant

Starting $16-$20/Hour

The Medical Assistant works under the direction of a physician, assists in the delivery of health care for patients. This position performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record and documentation, phlebotomy, giving injections, and taking vital signs.

Daily Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
Responsible for charting all patient’s information accurately
Vital signs and rooming patients
Preparing and cleaning rooms for patient examination
Phlebotomy and injections
Calling patients with lab results
Referrals to specialist

Key Success Factors:
Knowledge of principles of safe and accurate medical administration.
Familiarity with HIPPA regulations.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to take instruction from a doctor.
Familiarity with medical charts and records.
High attention to detail.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bilingual candidate
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
Must be computer literate; experience with EMR (Electronic Health Records) is preferred
Must have excellent communication & customer service skills
Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position and require regular and punctual employee presence
Ability to maintain patient volume and work flow
Ability to multi-task and to change course of action or tasks as needed
