About the role
As our dynamic and motivated Fall Marketing Intern, you will support the Marketing Department in various marketing, communications, and operations tasks contributing to Mspark’s overall company goals. This internship focuses on market research, business development, go-to-market activation launch and support, and combined intelligence and AI research.
Ideal candidates will be a rising Junior or above, have strong written and verbal communication skills, be agile, and excited to contribute to a variety of Marketing Department projects. This role will report directly to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager.
This position is remote; however, preference may be given to hybrid candidates able to commute to our corporate office. Preference may also be given to candidates in Eastern or Central time zones.
What you'll do...
- Regularly collaborate and support the Marketing Department.
- Rotate, shadow, and support the following teams: 1:1 strategic support, business development (including events and content), products and partnership, and sales strategy.
- Support internal feedback loops via Microsoft Forms development, deployment, and collection; organize and distribute internal feedback as necessary.
- Help maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, and cross-functional updates via SharePoint and Monday.com.
- Create category-specific business development playbooks and conduct prospect contact information research using company tools.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Develop an understanding of our B2C direct mail, shared mail, and digital product offerings.
- Review newly-proposed workflows and identify opportunities for AI and combined intelligence optimization.
- Work closely with Marketing, IT and Chief Financial Officer for internship- long Capstone project.
- AI & Combined Intelligence: investigate impactful AI/Combined intelligence opportunities at Mspark and develop onboarding/adoption plan. This project requires market research, campaign strategy, internal communication, project management, and content creation.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate college student at an accredited university (rising junior or above) majoring in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or another relevant field
- Virtual meeting experience and etiquette (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong research skills, particularly related to B2C marketing
- Unafraid to contribute thoughts and opinions—energetic, excited, and eager to tackle projects and new ideas head-on.
