Job Description
As a Bindery Assistant, responsibilities include operating and assisting with various bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, booklet makers, and shrink wrappers. The role involves jogging, stacking, and organizing printed materials in preparation for finishing, as well as performing hand-finishing tasks like padding, collating, stapling, folding, and inserting. Completed jobs are packaged, labeled, and prepared for delivery or campus pickup. Maintaining a clean and organized bindery work area is essential, along with carefully following job tickets and special instructions to ensure accuracy and quality. Qualifications:
· Prior experience in printing, bindery, pressroom, production, or manufacturing work is preferred
· Mechanical aptitude to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
· Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, ink, and cleaning solutions
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
· Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures in a production environment
Hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30am-4pm, occasional overtime may be required during production times which could include weekends. Pay starts at $18
