Bilingual Warehouse Supervisor
Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, staging, and raw materials. They are also oversight to all outbound shipping of finished goods to customers or to cold storage. The Warehouse Supervisor must work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role provides leadership to warehouse personnel, ensures accurate inventory and documentation, enforces compliance with food safety and safety standards, ensures timely loading and correct loading of finished goods and supports cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced warehouse leader, proficient in forklift operation, inventory management, and bilingual in English and Spanish. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Essential Functions:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise, coach, and schedule warehouse staff, including shipping/receiving and material handling teams.
- Monitor performance and ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Train team members in SOPs, safety protocols, equipment usage, and company policies.
- Conduct shift handovers and regular team meetings to align on priorities and safety reminders.
Inventory & Material Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counts, audits, and real-time updates.
- Enforce FIFO practices and ensure all raw materials and packaging are rotated and stored properly. Ensure all outbound finished goods are also FIFO.
- Collaborate with purchasing and production to ensure availability of materials and prevent downtime.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Oversee and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments and deliveries.
- Verify and inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, labeling, and documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Outbound documentation, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and shipping documents.
- Ensure outbound trucks are refrigerated, clean and follow all QA protocols.
Forklift & Equipment Oversight:
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Ensure all warehouse personnel are trained and certified for equipment use.
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs.
Compliance, Safety & Cleanliness:
- Enforce adherence to food safety, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and staging areas.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with Quality Assurance, Production, Maintenance, and Logistics teams.
- Support plant goals by aligning warehouse operations with production schedules and customer shipments.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Forklift experience (certification preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to work and relate with others.
- Able to follow safety guidelines.
- Well organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and Microsoft 365.
- Must be bilingual English and Spanish.
Desired:
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated industry.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning systems (a plus).
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety compliance.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
- Ability to lift unassisted 30 - 50 lbs at a time.
- Working standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.
- Working in a warm environment with flour dust.
- Working in a loud production environment.
- Occasionally working extended shifts.
