Windows Server Engineer

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Systems Administrator with strong experience working with Windows Server environments and virtual environments. This is a hybrid, full-time, long term contract with the opportunity to grow and develop within a complex server environment.

The Window Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing advanced support of physical Windows Servers and virtual servers on VMware.

Duties:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments. Providing high-level technical support within the server environment.
• Monitor server performance and provide performance tuning to ensure system uptime.
• Apply security patches and updates to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities. Creating PowerShell scrips as needed.
• Support virtual environment. Managing and supporting VMware and Hyper-V.
• Developing and testing disaster recovery plans. Participate in all DR activities.
• Create server and process documentation.

Qualifications:

• In-depth experience supporting Windows Server environments
• VMware install and support experience
• Ability to obtain a federal security clearance
