Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Night position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP.

• Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 222 staffed beds
\n
• ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio
\n
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
\n
• Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weeks
\n
• Floating may be required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed
\n
• No on-call responsibilities
\n
• Charting is done in Epic; experience with Epic is required
\n
• Free parking available on-site
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license is acceptable for consideration
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
\n
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP required
\n
• Experience assisting with line insertions and intubation required
\n
• Familiarity with hypothermia protocols required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n

• Responsibilities include assisting with line insertions, intubation, CRRT/CVVHD management, IABP management, and hypothermia protocol implementation
\n
• Navy scrubs are required
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; candidates within 75 miles are eligible but will be offered a local rate
\n
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
\n
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
\n
• Travelers may remain at a BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
\n
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
\n
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
\n
