About the Role:
As a Driver based in Kenosha, WI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers within designated routes. This position demands a high level of responsibility, as you will be representing the company while interacting with clients and the public. You will be expected to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. The role requires excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules and adapt to changing conditions on the road. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall efficiency and reputation of the transportation services provided by the company.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete logs and follow written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous professional driving experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Customer service experience to enhance interactions with clients and the public.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures to identify and report issues proactively.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues.
