Broadband Telecom Services is a full-service telecommunications construction contracting company with multiple locations throughout the state of Texas.

JOB CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME

LOCATION: San Antonio, Texas

PAY RATE: Hourly Production Pay Rate

REPORTS TO: Bury Drop Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bury Drop Technicians primary focus on the burial of CATV drop from the coaxial plant tap to the point of demarcation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Use and have knowledge of CATV hand tools

Abel to manipulate connectors, fasteners, and wire using hand tools

Perform assigned jobs using sledgehammers, trenching shovels, concrete saws, and pickaxes

Conduct other duties such as clean up, salvage of wrecked out materials and provided general assistance to other employees as needed

Ensure safety guidelines are enforced and weekly safety topics are followed

EDUCATION & LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess a valid Drivers License and a safe driving record.
  

LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS & REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to use written and verbal communications in English language.
  

REASONING ABILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to work aloft.
• Must have manual dexterity and the ability to utilize various hand tools and test equipment.
• Must be able to drive a truck or van including a truck/van
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to type on a computer, and utilize a smart phone to read and update prints.
• Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop, lift and dig.
  
• Must meet and maintain Companys safe weight policy.
