Violin Instructor / Strings Instructor

Position: Violin Instructor
Location: Wintersville, Ohio
Employment Type: Part-Time/Full-Time depending on number of students
Pay: $25/ hour with an opportunity for more based on group lessons

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Violin Instructor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in violin performance and pedagogy and preferably be able to teach other string orchestra instruments such as viola, cello, or bass. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels in a supportive and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide private and/or group violin lessons to students of various ages and skill levels

• Develop individualized lesson plans and set learning goals for each student

• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and ensemble participation

• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress

• Optionally teach other string instruments (viola, cello, bass) as needed

• Promote a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

• Collaborate with other instructors for student events and group classes

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in violin with strong performance and teaching ability

• Experience teaching private lessons and/or group instruction

• Knowledge of string pedagogy and repertoire

• Ability to teach additional string instruments (preferred but not required)

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Degree in Music Education, Performance, or related field preferred (but not required with equivalent experience)

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Appreciated):

• Experience conducting or assisting with string ensembles

• Suzuki certification or experience with similar pedagogical methods

• Availability for summer camps or workshops
