About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Technical Switchboard Assembler II
• Pay Rate Range: $19-$27/Hour
• Location: Plymouth, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM, OT may be required during busy times.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma/ GED preferred
2. Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced, custom manufacturing environment.
3. Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
4. Utilizes concepts, practices, and procedures of the Assembly department.
5. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
6. Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools to assemble customized units.
7. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering documentation and blueprints.
8. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude as well as being able to complete/pass a basic mathematics test.
9. Ability to effectively communicate well with others in English, both verbally and in writing.
10. Forklift experience preferred
11. 5 years of assembly in a commercial and/or industrial setting or Automotive technician experience.
12. Lift up to 50 lbs.
13. Stand for entire shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Position, gather and arrange parts for proper assembly, verify fitness and tolerances.
2. Interpret instructions, designs, and schematics to produce items to specifications.
3. Assemble and fabricate sheet metal parts and bus, using equipment and tools.
4. Mount assembled components, such as transformers, panel boards, capacitors, circuit breakers, switches and CT’s in cabinets.
5. Operate machines that press, shape or bend component parts.
6. Notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources or assistance.
7. Maintains safe and clean working environment and adhere to producers, does and safety regulations.
8. Document materials used.
9. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently as needed to accomplish job results.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Steel toe/safety boots required.
12. Safety Glasses, one pair is provided.
13. Personal toolbox containing:
• 3/8th socket and ratchet set
• Combination wrench set
• Pliers
• Vise-grip/locking pliers
• Small, medium and large slotted and Phillips screwdrivers
• 10” crescent/adjustable wrench
• ¾” wide x 12’ long tape measure (minimum)
• Utility knife
