Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Swing position at a critical access hospital in Iowa, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability every other weekend.

• Acute care setting at a critical access hospital
\n
• Med/Surg Swing unit serving a general medical-surgical patient population
\n
• ED experience is preferred but not required
\n
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, with varying days
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• EMR: Epic
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IA RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
\n
• Required certifications (all AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS — must be active; pending certifications are not accepted
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
\n
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; driver's license is used to verify permanent address
\n

• Swing RN role supporting the Med/Surg unit at a critical access facility
\n
• TNCC certification is preferred but not required
\n
• Facility interview required; no clinical interview involvement
\n
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity Health facility within the past 12 months are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
\n
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply will result to contract termination
\n
• 13-week assignment with a 12-hour orientation
