American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Swing position at a critical access hospital in Iowa, requiring an active IA or compact RN license and night shift availability every other weekend.
Details- Acute care Med/Surg unit within a critical access hospital setting
- Swing RN role covering medical-surgical patient needs
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, with varying days
- Every other weekend required
- EMR: Epic
- 13-week contract
- Active IA or Compact (NLC) RN license required — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS — all must be active; pending certifications not accepted
- A driver's license is required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; driver's license is used to verify permanent address
- ED experience preferred but not required
- TNCC preferred but not required
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past 12 months are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- Interviews are conducted by the facility manager only; no clinical interview component
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas — refusal to comply may result in contract termination
- Orientation consists of 12 hours
