Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with 3+ years of complex OB/GYN scanning experience and required Fetal Echocardiography certification.

Details\n

\n
• Work within the OB Ultrasound unit performing maternal fetal ultrasound procedures
\n
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday
\n
• No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements
\n
• Assist radiologists with invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound
\n
• Provide standardization and training to residents on ultrasound exams
\n
• Perform detailed anatomical evaluations, complete fetal echocardiograms, growth assessments, and fetal wellbeing assessments
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 3 years experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular scans
\n
• Previous MFM Ultrasound Technologist experience required
\n
• Fetal Echocardiography Certification required
\n
• Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program
\n
• Current BLS certification
\n
• ARDMS registration in OB and OB/GYN required
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• Skilled in needle procedure guidance, maternal pelvic anatomy examination, transvaginal cervical assessment, advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques, biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, and amniotic fluid assessments
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Consult with patients and evaluate contra-indications such as medications, insufficient preparation, or inability to tolerate the procedure
\n
• Perform ultrasound procedures under general or direct physician supervision as defined by procedure protocols
\n
• Analyze sonography findings throughout examinations to ensure comprehensive data collection for physician interpretation
\n
• Recognize situations or abnormalities requiring direct radiologist observation of real-time scans
\n
• Image structures while simultaneously obtaining and recording Doppler signals for radiologist interpretation
\n
• Advise radiologists and referring OB providers of examination results and preliminary diagnostic findings
\n
• Assist supervising physicians with invasive procedures as required
\n
