Responsible for Physical Therapy management of members under the direction and supervision of the Rehabilitation Manager. This position consistently supports compliance and the emPrinciples of Responsibility/em (Kaiser Permanentes Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanentes policies and procedures. In addition, Regional leaders are accountable for communication, implementation, enforcement, monitoring and oversight of compliance policies and practices in their departments. In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives. Also, accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.

liTests and evaluates the extent of a members impairments, functional limitations, participation barriers and/or disabilities to ensure proper treatment using various tests and procedures./li
liPlans therapy program, establishes treatment goals; and administers treatment to improve and/or remove impairments to minimize functional impairments to provide full participation in activities of daily living and reduce disability./li
liProvides direct member care through a variety of modalities, including in-person, telephonic, and/or video-based services./li
liIncludes members/families/caregivers in establishing goals and obtains members informed consent as necessary./li
liProvides members/families/caregivers with treatment plan and instructions for home exercise programs./li
liUpgrades treatment plan and goals as member progresses./li
liRegularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of the member towards goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment./li
liDischarges member from Physical Therapy when the member has received maximum benefit from Physical Therapy./li
liProvides accurate and timely documentation of Physical Therapy member management./li
liSupervises the care delivered by PTAs (Physical Therapist Assistants) as per jurisdiction requirements./li
liMaintains appropriate medical records documentation for services and communications regarding care./li
liConsults with medical providers regarding member evaluation and treatment, care plan updates, and discharge from treatment. /li
liReviews member records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications./li
liMaintains compliance with company, state and regulatory documentation./li
liEstablishes safe work environment./li
liMaintains clinical competency and ethical standards as outlined in the guidelines of the APTA./li
liMaintains departmental supplies, equipment, and apparatus in clean, safe and functional condition./li
liDirects and instructs support personnel in performance of more routine procedures as requested./li
liEstablishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations with the public, member, and other personnel./li
liProvides triage Physical Therapy services by providing advice and care through in person, phone, or video means./li
liDelivers and/or provides input and/or assistance to Lead Therapists and Rehabilitation Managers in the delivery or development of new classes, services, member and/or provider education, development of handout and other related services./li
liParticipates in volunteer, student, or staff mentorship and/or clinical education activities./li
liProvides coverage as needed in other facilities within the region if appropriate./li
