pstrongPLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY: This position is open to members of the class of 2028 and 2029 ONLY. nbsp;Other applications will not be considered. nbsp;Once an application has been submitted through Oracle, a follow up questionnaire will be provided via Google Forms./strong/ppstrongJob Title:/strong Audio / Video Engineer, Music Department Specialistbr/strongClassification: /strongStudent Employee (non-exempt),nbsp;br/strongDepartment Name: /strongBroadcast / Media Servicesbr/strongLength of Position: /strongSee Employment Authorization nbsp;br/strongContact Person/Supervisor: /strongDirector of Broadcast / Media Services; Music Department Liaisonbr/strongPay Rate: Class: /strongMid-Level; Group: Engineer 2br/nbsp;/ppstrongDescription of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):nbsp;/strongbr/nbsp;/ppTo provide professional audio and video production services for events in Urness Recital Hall and Studio A. nbsp;We create live and on-demand audio and video products for distribution on various media platforms.br/nbsp;/ppstrongTransferable Skills:nbsp;/strongbr/nbsp;/pp•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Audio and video engineering, taught during a semester-long training and on-the-job.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Knowledge of sound propagation patterns for various instruments and ensembles.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Ability to select appropriate equipment and configurations to capture quality sound and video.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Video production including camera operation, live line-cut switching, graphics, routing, and editing using industry standard equipment and software.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Knowledge and understanding of, and ability to utilize standards of practice in the fields of audio, video, and live sound engineering.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Ability to work independently, work with a team, take leadership where necessary, interact with public and college officials on a professional level.br/nbsp;/ppstrongDuties and Responsibilities:/strongnbsp;br/nbsp;/pp•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Operate audio and video recording equipment to produce, record, and stream concerts and recitals in Music Department Venues. nbsp;br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Assist in post-production, distribution, and archival of recordings and other media.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Interact with students, faculty, staff, and other internal and external personnel at all levels as needed to perform job tasks.br/nbsp;/ppstrongQualifications (Education/Experience/Skills):/strongbr/nbsp;/pp•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Passionate interest in technical and creative aspects of audio and video production.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Enjoyment of classical music and good listening skills.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Clear and concise communication ability.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Strong work ethic, responsibility, and ability to work independently.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Attention to detail.br/•nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Some technical experience may be helpful, but not necessary; training is provided./ppThis job description is for general information purposes. nbsp;It is not intended to list all duties and responsibilities of the position. nbsp;This job description is subject to change at any time by St. Olaf College, with or without prior notice.br/nbsp;/p
