They prepare for appointments, sterilize orthodontic tools and adjust patients’ braces under the direction of the Orthodontist. They engage in relationship with each patient and ensure a special experience for each patient they touch./ppnbsp;/ppustrongWe are looking for people who are:/strong/u/pulliFlexible/liliCommitted/liliImprovement focused/liliTeam focused/liliFun/liliCurious/liliRelationship focused/liliListeners who relate with people/liliSelf-Starters/liliEager to learn new skills/li/ulpustrongEssential Job Functions:/strong/u/pulliAssists in placing and removing orthodontic appliances./liliTakes X-Rays/Scans Creates molds and impressions of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of retainers/liliMay photograph patients to document progress/liliMaintains accurate records of patients’ oral health histories and treatment progress/liliEnsures all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use/liliTreats patient as an honored guest and provides unforgettable experience/liliAssists orthodontists by preparing for procedures, laying out instruments, and keeping patient’s mouths dry with suction tool/liliCommunicates any problem areas regarding patient progress to Orthodontist/liliEducates patients (and parents) on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare/liliLearns and becomes proficient in EMR usage/liliWorks with team and patients to coordinate scheduling/liliCross trains in front office duties and fills-in as necessary/liliMakes adjustments to patient braces, brackets and bands as directed by Orthodontist/liliAccompanies patient from waiting area to chair while engaging in conversation/li/ulpemPlease note: this job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive list of duties or responsibilities that are required for this position.
