Laborer

pThe Laborer is responsible to assist craft workers with various physical tasks at commercial or industrial construction job sites. This position operates a variety of hand and power tools and prepares and cleans task areas or work sites.br /br /strongResponsibilities:/strong   /pulliLoad, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing and returning them to the appropriate locations; install or remove signage, railings, or other various hardware./liliDig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes./liliOperate hand or power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment or other as required./liliIf certified, operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, bobcat./liliAssist in erecting or dismantling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures./liliClean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong   /pulli6 months experience working as a commercial or industrial construction laborer/liliExperience operating required hand and power tools/liliStrong reading, written and verbal communication skills in English, verbal communication in Spanish considered an asset but not required/liliHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent required/li/ulpspan style="font-size: small;"strongPhysical Demands and Working Environment/strong:br /emThe conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
