lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Verify completeness and accuracy of coding prior to submission to Athena/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Monitor and post as needed, payments received from insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, patients, etc. daily to ensure proper credit and accounting/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Utilize monthly aging A/R reports to follow up on unpaid claims aged over 30 days/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Perform A/R audits/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Maintain A/R filing system/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and providers regarding coding and billing/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Oversee the operations of the billing department/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Read and interpret insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB)/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Keep track of Pamp;P patients, create the monthly invoice to submit in a timely manner/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Check Quest Lab monthly invoice for patient payments, if payments not received enter charges/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Timely communication to the Officer Manager regarding trends with payors/front desk and other issues that are potentially disruptive to cash flow/span/li

lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Verify patient statements have been sent out timely/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Ensure aged patient balances, over 90 days, are reviewed and sent to collections as needed/span/li

lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Follow-up on any missing claims/billing/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Collect provider/patient information for appeals/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Run operational/financial and quarterly Medicare reports/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Negotiate and monitor payer contracts/span/li
lispan style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Oversee refunds and credit balances/span/li
