Let our craftsmen create the metal products you need./p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Position Overview: /spanJoining a dynamic team of welders and fabricators, and sheet metal workers, our CNC operators bring their specialized skills and experience to some of the most unique metal fabricating projects in the area. You will train and become an expert operator on our laser, press brake, Tennsmith, and coil line to produce top of the line commercial duct products./p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Duties Responsibilities:/span/p ul librRead and understand basic part drawings/li librFollow procedure to turn equipment on and off/li librSet up machinery for production; perform routine maintenance/li liTroubleshoot any issues with machinery and report to maintenance/li librLoad metal into machine from coil or sheet/li librMeasure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery/li librEnter all relevant codes to specify the speed and desired finishes/li librMake machine adjustments, change nozzles, lenses and make machine adjustments/li librMonitor equipment while operating/li librMaintain a clean and organized working environment/li librComplete routine maintenance of their machinery/li librOther duties as assigned by management/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Skills Requirements:/span/p ul liMust be at least 18 years old/li li1-3 years of CNC machine operating experience/li liAbility to obtain (in-house) forklift certification/li liKeen understanding of sheet metal and industrial duct work/li librMust be able to operate a laser and machines for cutting/bending metal (training provided)/li librMust be mechanically inclined and be able to understand how a complex machine works and make adjustments when needed/li liMust successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen/li liMust have reliable transportation to work/li librIn-depth knowledge of computer and information systems/li librStrong attention to detail/li librExcellent organizational skills/li liStrong work ethic and willingness to be a team-player/li librIn-depth knowledge of metal machinery/li librExcellent reporting and analytical skills/li librExcellent understanding of mechanics and mathematics/li librAbility to interpret 3D drawings and orthographic projection/li librRequires the ability to use a phone and tablet to input data, such a timecard information, emails, etc./li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Job Location:/span 218 East Lathrop Avenue, Savannah, GA 31415/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Working Environment:/span Work is typically performed while standing, in a non-climate-controlled machine shop./p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Salary: /spanStarting at $20/hour/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Benefits: /spanDelta Metals has a generous benefits package to include Medical, dental vision, life, long and short term disability, as well as accident, cancer, and critical illness plans, HSA, 401K, Vacation sick time, and 6 paid company holidays./p pbr/p pemIt is the policy of Delta Metals, Inc. not to discriminate against any applicant for employment, or any employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, or veteran status./em/p
