pstrongPosition Summary:/strong/p pbr /The campus Title I Instructional Aide assists school staff with accelerated student instruction in such a way to facilitate the achievement of the schoolrsquo;s goals./p pbr /strongQualifications:/strongbr /br /strongEducation/Certification and Experience:/strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or GED/li liValid Texasnbsp;Instructional Aidenbsp;Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire/li liMust meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associate's degree, OR 60 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning/li /ul pstrongRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):/strong/p ul liAbility to work well with children, parents, and school staff/li liAbility to use/learn basic computer applications/li liKnowledge of general office equipment/li liEffective communication skills (written and verbal) in English/li liAbility to speak Spanish (preferred)/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongResponsibilities and Duties:/strong/p ul liWork with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities as assigned./li liMaintain confidentiality of information./li liAssist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment./li liAssist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed./li liAssist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required./li liAssist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned./li liAssist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations./li liParticipate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required./li liOther duties as assigned./li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongEquipment Used:/strong/p ul liRegular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, presentation equipment, copy machines, etc.)/li liIntermediate skill in Data Entry, Database, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing/li liGoogle suite of applications/li liVideo conferencing technology/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongPhysical / Environmental Factors:/strong/p pnbsp;/p pMust maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem-solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)./p pOccasional prolonged and irregular hours. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds/p pPerform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
