He/she is responsible for conducting outreach, advocacy, and developing sober social and support activities. The Recovery Coach documents all provided services in a manner that is compliant with regulatory and funding agents. He/she delivers services to the participants on-site and in the community./ppstrongSPECIFIC DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pp1. Contributes to the development of the ethical framework for delivery of recovery services and conducts all recovery coaching activities within this framework./pp2. Contributes to the development of a community resource book./pp3. Assists the participants in completing a Wellness Plan./pp4. Provides guidance, support and recovery coaching for participants in accordance with Wellness Plan and engages in recovery activities and support services./pp5. Conducts outreach activities in the community./pp6. Organizes community-based pro-social activities and events./pp7. Maintain weekly contact with each participant for at least one half hour./pp8. Attends monthly Recovery Coach support group./pp9. Helps to facilitate Peer to Peer recovery support groups./pp10. Maintains weekly Recovery Coach contact log./pp11. Conducts educational presentations for providers of local recovery support services./pp12. Conducts educational presentations to groups of prospective Recovery Coaches./pp13. Conducts educational presentation to groups of prospective participants./pp14. Eligible to serve on Consumer Advisory Board and project steering committee./ppstrongREQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES/strong/pp1. High School Diploma or G.E.D./pp2. Ability to deliver culturally competent services to a diverse client population in an urban setting./pp3. Familiarity with the project#39;s ethical framework for recovery services and the Recovery Self-Assessment and Planning Guide./pp4. A minimum of six months of community-based recovery with at least six consecutive months of abstinence at the time of enrollment./pp5. Good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic about recovery./pp6. Must be able to work a flexible schedule./pp7.
