The Aquatics Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction for all levels of swim lessons to participants of all ages and abilities./p p /p p /p pstronguThe Mayerson JCC:/u/strong/p pThe Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. The JCC welcomes everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ability./p p /p p /p p /p pstronguResponsibilities:/u/strong/p ul liEffectively teach all levels of swim instruction under Swim Lessons University standards, possessing full knowledge of the skills at each level./li liEffectively communicate with parents the appropriate class enrollment level for all children./li liMaintain a familiarity with the registration process and current class schedules. /li liProvide ongoing, effective communication with reception desk regarding all classes and programming./li liPrepare award certificates, patches, and cards upon completion of the course./li liEnsure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations./li liEnforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner./li liProvide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area./li liBe knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming./li liDisplay a professional appearance with appropriate dress/uniform./li liIs timely and punctual when reporting to work. /li liSubmits required class records on time. /li liEnsure the aquatic area is safe, clean and orderly./li liOther duties as assigned/li /ul p /p pstronguQualifications:/u/strong/p ul liHigh school education preferred/li liWilling to obtain Swim Lessons University instructor certification at employers expense.  No travel required/li liCommunity C.P.R. certification/li liStandard First Aid certification/li liAmerican Red Cross Lifesaving certification preferred/li liExperience teaching all ages and levels/li liEffective leadership skills and a strong work ethic/li liPositive and enthusiastic attitude towards job and facility/li liMust be able to trouble shoot and anticipate problems   /li liConsistently exhibit team spirit promoting a productive environment/li liMaintain a character of professionalism and confidence, with a tactful ability to communicate with participants/li liDemonstrate the ability to cooperate and work with others/li liDemonstrate consistent integrity, dependability, responsibility and be able to meet deadlines/li liPossess effective verbal/written communication and expression/li liAdaptable and flexible under stressful and/or unusual situations/li liExcellent customer service skills/li liEnergetic, enthusiastic and motivational/li liProfessional manner, discretion, and appearance/li liAble to show initiative and make decisions/li liAbility to stand for long periods/li liAwareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury/li liThis position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk/li liThe employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms/li liAbility to lift 50 lbs./li liNormal work hours:  varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays/li /ul pstronguCompensation:/u/strong/p ul liStarting at $18.50/ 30 minute group lesson delivered/li li$15/ private amp; $20/ semi-private 30 minute lesson delivered/li /ul p /p pArch Amenities Group is an equal employment opportunity employer that is committed to having a diverse work force./p p /p
