Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital./li liParticipates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested./li liProvides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner./li liParticipates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules./li /ul h2What You Will Need/h2 pstrongLicensure/Certification/Registration:/strong/p ul liBLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required./li liCertified Advanced Practice Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required./li liDrug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred./li /ul p /p pstrongEducation:/strong/p ul liMaster's degree of Nursing required./li /ul h2About UAB St. Vincent’s/h2 pUAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
