Advises supervisor on environmental services equipment needs and repairs. Ensures that infectious waste and confidential disposal contractors perform as scheduled.brbrCompensation Range: $16.50/hr-$19.50/hr brSchedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pmp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bRoles and Responsibilities:/b/ppubMinimum Requirements:/b/u/pulliHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred./liliPrevious experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred./liliBasic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions required./liliCPR and de-escalation certification may be required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)./liliFirst aid may be required based on state or facility./li/ulp/ppubJob Duties:/b/u/pulliPerforms specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility. Conducts daily cleaning of the facility including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing of fixtures, general straightening, and cleaning of bathrooms./liliCleans facility rooms, baths, laboratories, offices and halls. Utilizes buffers, scrubbers, sweepers and carpet cleaning equipment as necessary./liliWashes bed frames, brushes mattresses and remakes beds after discharge of clients, when applicable./liliKeeps utility and storage rooms in neat and orderly conditions./liliOperates commercial washers and dryers. Launders soiled linens as directed./liliAttends to infection control standards, transports soiled linen to storage area/liliand distributes laundered articles and items./liliSweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors. Work is performed with careful attention to slips/fall risks during and after cleaning floors./liliCleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies. Dusts furniture and equipment./liliWashes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills./liliEmpties wastebaskets, transports trash and waste to disposal area./liliDisinfects rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment./liliConducts daily check of cleaning cart to determine inventory of supplies.
