This position reports directly to the Vice President, Patient Care Services. Under the direction of the Vice President, the Shift Administrator resolves immediate problems, communicates actions to the appropriate person(s), and refers issues to the appropriate leader for follow-up. Acts on behalf of the Vice President (or designee) until he/she arrives on site during an emergency or disaster. Responsible for overall patient care, continuity in decision making and consistency in patient care.
