pProvide customer service. Supervise and complete all transactions with 3rd party vendors. Monitor total store conditions, and follows through to maintain standards. Monitor and controls inventory. Practice safe food handling guidelines. liMaintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity including Computer Assisted Ordering and balance on hand (BOH) accuracy/li
liCheck condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received/li
liProcess damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork/li
liAssist with markdowns and 5S process(sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain) of markdown locations/li
liEnsure inventory management for all delivered product/li
liManage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) ad plan, inventory and ad space on sales floor/li
liScan DSD out of stocks and communicate with vendors/li
liMaintain excellent 5S standards in receiving and backroom area/li
liEnsure all vendors follow company policies and procedures including vendor dress code/li
liAssist with scheduling routine price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs/li
liAssist with planning, organizing and supervising the inventory process/li
liReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager/li
liStay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads/li
liAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines/li
liAssist with perishable donation program/li
liEnsure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained/li
liEnsure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs/li
liPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair e.g. power mule and hand jack/li
liEnsure maximum security of receiving area and backroom/li
liDevelop and train Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Receiver back up/li
liCommunicate company, department, and job specific information to associates and vendors/li
liCollaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goalsnbsp;/li
liTrain and develop associates on performance of their job and participate in the performance appraisal process/li
liAssist in other departments when needed/li
liAttend required classes and meetings/li
liPrepare for and performs quarterly inventory of department/li
liUnload groceries and operates checkout terminal; executes monetary transactions for customer as needed/li
liBag groceries and loads into shopping carts as needed/li

liReview department statements and follows through on discrepancies/li
liReview time cards and follows through as needed/li
liReview department bulletins, follows through and implements all company programs/li
liMonitor and control shrink and expenses/li
liComplete required forms/li
liDetermine emergency situations and contacts proper personnel/li
liMonitor and maintain security in store while in charge/li
