Prepare foods according to dietary standards./p pstrongEssential Functions of the Server/strong/p ul li​Administers or ability to follow written and oral directions./li liAbility to communicate and relate to the community residents./li liAssist in set-ups and dining room service./li liTake orders and serve food in appropriate fashion./li liSet-up and deliver trays upon request of chef/cook./li liBus tables and trays in the dining room and other areas as necessary./li liPour and cover beverages, assist in preparing, and covering food./li liAssist in proper care and use of kitchen and dining room equipment./li liClean all work areas as directed./li liWork at a steady pace to meet demands of cooks and residents./li liWork cooperatively with other dining room associates to produce pleasant and efficient dining room operation./li liAbility to understand and relate the menu to residents./li liAbility to act as liaison between residents and food service department./li liUnderstand and observe infections control procedures related to food service department./li liAbility to follow residents’ rights policies at all times./li liAbility to follow facility safety program./li liMaintain neat, clean appearance, and follow appropriate dress code as directed by chef/cook./li liWork scheduled shifts and demonstrate dependability./li liWillingness to perform other duties and assignments as necessary./li /ul pstrongNon-Essential Functions of the Server/strong/p ul liSupports and participates in the resident centered activity programs./li liParticipates in projects or committees as assigned./li liAttends all associate meetings including in-service education and associate functions, as requested by supervisor./li liAssists in variety of tasks involving residents as assigned./li /ul pstrongKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience/strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or GED at a minimum./li liPhysical requirements include the ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents./li liProfessional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene are expected./li liMust have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with various levels of people, associates, and residents./li liBe free of communicable disease./li liAbility to read, write, and speak English./li liAbility to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances./li liCompletion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor./li liPhysical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds./li liAdhere to and carry out all policies and procedures./li /ul
