pThe Kocab Lab in the Department of Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University seeks a biSign Linguistics/i/b biResearch Assistant/i/b. Under the supervision of the faculty investigator, the Research Assistant is responsible for annotating/glossing sign language datasets and recruiting American Sign Language (ASL) signing participants for online experiments. This is a casual hourly position dependent on availability of project funding./pp class="br"br/pp class="br"bSpecific Duties amp; Responsibilities/b/pulliAnnotate/gloss sign language datasets./liliWrite and maintain a coding manual for each dataset./liliAssist with recruiting signing participants, including D/deaf signers, for online studies./liliAssist with scheduling signing participants, including D/deaf signers, for online studies./liliDesign training materials for annotating sign language datasets./liliProvide training in sign language annotation./liliPerform other related duties as assigned./li/ulp class="br"br/ppbSpecial Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/b/pulliFluency in American Sign Language and English (i.e., manual and written communication) is essential.
