Line Cook III

Must be a team player who will protect the company and its brand in each and every aspect of the job./ppThe role of Cook III will encompass all qualifications of Cook I amp; II (iThe role of Cook I amp; II will encompass basic and/ or advanced preparation tasks as well as production of salads, raw bar platters, pizzas, fried dishes and desserts/i) as well as; proficiency on saut#233; and/ or grill station as well as the "Middle"/expedite position of the hot line. This position will be expected to have the ability to mentor and train new hires and candidates for advancement on all of the aforementioned positions within the kitchen../ppResponsibilities include:/pulliThorough knowledge of cooking procedures/liliPrepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc./liliAdherence to all company dietary and allergy procedures./liliKnowledge of kitchen equipment and safe handling procedures/liliAssuring compliance with all sanitation, proper food handling skills and other safety guidelines./liliUtilize approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control./liliPrepare food items consistently, efficiently and adhering to all recipe standards./liliKnowledge and adherence to proper food storage such as wrapping, dating, rotation procedures./liliClean prep work areas and equipment./liliFollow prep lists created by Chefs/liliLabel and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible./liliPrepare cold, grilled and saut#233;ed dishes in accordance with established specifications./liliAdditional duties as assigned/li/ulpQualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED/liliThree + years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook/liliExperience in kitchen operations, specifically the ability to train others/liliCertificate in Culinary Arts preferred/liliExperience with various cooking methods and procedures/liliAbility to work in a fast paced environment/liliMaintain positive attitude at all times/liliStrong communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal/liliFood safety certification- food manager/li/ulpPhysical requirements:/pulliAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally/liliAbility to sit/stand for extended periods/liliAbility to climb stairs, ladders/liliAbility to work in a food/wine environment/li/ulpbSchedule: /bFull time, Nights, holidays, weekends#160; #160;/ppbSalary/b: $24/ hrbr#160;/ppCompetitive pay and benefits offered.#160;/pulliHealth insurance/liliDental insurance#160;/liliVision insurance/lili401k matching#160;/liliCompany paid short term disability insurance#160;/liliCompany paid Life insurance#160;/liliPaid time off/liliReferral program/li/ulpiWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
