Plant and Maintenance Technician - Evenings

The position supports production by performing both corrective and preventive maintenance tasks while maintaining a high level of safety and quality./span/p pnbsp;/p pspan style="0font-size: 10pt;"strongDuties and Responsibilities/strong/span/p ul lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Perform a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, electrical and mechanics/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Set and install new equipment/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Relocate and remove equipment as required/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed such as lubrication, cleaning and general inspections./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Fabricate minimal changes to equipment for repairs or to enhance machine performance/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Manage time and resources and adapt to changing priorities/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Respond to breakdown calls quickly/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair the root cause issue making sure to fix it right the first time/span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Confer and collaborate with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Review and analyze data and information./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Plan, prioritize and monitor maintenance activities./span/li lispan style="0font-size: 10pt;"Complete assigned tasks or projects in a timely manner./span/li /ul pnbsp;/p pspan style="0font-size: 10pt;"strongSupervisory Responsibility/strong/span/p pspan style="0font-size: 10pt;"No direct management or supervisory responsibilities./span/p pnbsp;/p p style="0page-break-after: avoid;"span style="0font-size: 10pt;"strongSafety/strong/span/p p style="0page-break-after: avoid;"span style="0font-size: 10pt;"Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment); report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
