Abides by New Mexico Tech/EMRTC safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security policies./span/pp/ppbspanResponsibilities:/span/b/pullipspanTransports explosives and specialized equipment to test sites./span/p/lilipspanAccomplishes pre-operational briefs, test set up and pre-test system checks. /span/p/lilipspanSets up explosives test articles according to written plans, ensures area is properly cleared, detonates test articles, clears test pad, and conducts site remediation. /span/p/lilipspanConsults with management on solution sets to misfires and/or unusual occurrences during tests. Conducts experimental gun tests./span/p/lilipspanBuilds customized rounds to meet pressure and velocity requirements. /span/p/lilipspanConducts all capacities of a firing sequence; load gun, install initiator, connect firing circuit, retreat to designated safe area, ensure range is safe, fire gun when instructed, clear gun, and ensure test pad is safe for data collection. /span/p/lilipspanOperates wreckers, forklifts, and front-end loaders to support storage and clean-up operations. /span/p/lilipspanEmploys mechanical hand tools, power tools, and hoisting equipment to assist in the preparation of incoming and outgoing explosive shipments. /span/p/lilipspanConducts magazine maintenance and reorganizes stores as directed. /span/p/lilipspanAssists with inventory control as directed. /span/p/lilipspanEmploys heavy equipment and specialized tools while assisting with assemblage, repair and maintenance on all EMRTC or customer owned gun systems. /span/p/lilipspanAttends safety meetings, training classes, and maintains required certifications and/or licenses. /span/p/lilipspanPresents a positive, professional attitude while communicating with all levels of EMRTC personnel and customers. /span/p/lilipspanUnder the direct supervision of qualified technicians, may be required to assist instrumentation, mechanics, field operations, or machine shop tasks./span/p/li/ulp/ppbspanMinimum Qualifications:/span/b/pullipspanMust have a high school Diploma (or GED)./span/p/lilipspanWorking knowledge of data entry into Microsoft and Windows software applications. /span/p/lilipspanMust be able to obtain a valid or have current New Mexico Commercial Driver’s License with HazMat Endorsement required; Class C or a desired Class A./span/p/lilipspanGraduate of Naval School, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) or Hazardous Devices School with no less than eight years recent EOD/Bomb Tech and explosive RDTamp;E experience combined.  /span/p/lilipspanBureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm background check (Subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968)./span/p/lilipspanMust be able to pass a thorough background check. /span/p/li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"spannbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;/span/ppAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
