pDescription/ppTanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a PRN Patient Services Rep.nbsp;/ppbr//ppThis position will be responsible for covering shifts at all Tanner Clinic Locations./ppbr//ppstrongEssential Job Responsibilities:/strong/polliGreet patients in a warm, friendly, and prompt mannernbsp;/liliGather patient and insurance information efficiently and accuratelynbsp;/liliCollect and process co-pays from the patient at the time of servicenbsp;/liliGenerate fee slips with accurate physician information and obtain signatures on all legal documents when necessary/liliAnswer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source/liliEnter patient data into the EHR system/liliDirect and escort patients to physician offices/liliProvide information to patients about how to make an appointment/liliAssist patients with the use of wheelchairs and wheel them to the appropriate doctor’s office if needed/liliMonitor the work area to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained/liliWork urgent care hours if required/liliOther duties as assigned/li/olpbr//ppRequirements/ppstrongEducation:/strong High school diploma or equivalent preferred/ppbr//ppstrongExperience:/strong/pulliExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish immediate rapport with patients/liliOne year of experience in customer service or reception in a health care environment preferred/liliPrevious healthcare experience and/or familiarity with medical terminology helpful/liliExperience with business office equipment (credit card machines, fax machines, printers, etc.) preferred/li/ulpbr//ppstrongPerformance Requirements:/strong/ppemKnowledge:/em/polliKnowledge of basic computer skills/liliKnowledge of basic mathematics skills/liliKnowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers/liliKnowledge of medical terminology and organization services/li/olpSkills:/polliSkill in using multi-line phone system, including transferring calls/liliSkill is providing excellent customer service/li/olpbr//ppemAbilities:/em/polliAbility to get appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person/liliAbility to calms, or defuses irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls/liliAdequate hearing to answer phone and speak with patients/liliAbility to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers and patients/li/olpbr//ppstrongEquipment Operated: /strongStandard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongWork Environment: /strongPosition is in well-lighted office environment.nbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongMental/Physical Requirements:/strong Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder./ppbr//ppbr//p
