Pickleball Adult League Supervisor

h2About the Department/h2pUnder direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, Pickleball Adult League Supervisors provide instruction, monitor and educate participants on technique and safety, and maintain a safe and positive atmosphere for participants./ph2Position Duties/h2p- Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time.br- Provides adequate instruction on Pickleball technique and safety.br- Instructs participants on proper technique, demonstrates Pickleball skills, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen skills.br- Prepares area of play with appropriate equipment.br- Assists participants, answers questions, and maintains a positive experience.br- Notifies management of facility needs and any problems that may arise.br- Ensures safety standards are met and department and facility policies are followed.br- Notifies Parks and Recreation department of weather cancellations, rescheduling, standings, forfeits, and accidents or incidents.br- Provide first aid when needed./ph2Minimum Qualifications/h2p-nbsp;Must be at least 18 years of agebr- Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, preferredbr- Must have knowledge of Pickleball, teaching strategies and rulesbr- Ability to be professional, motivate class participants, and enforce rulesbr- Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members and the public/ph2Other Qualifications/h2pPHYSICAL SKILLSbrWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, kneel, reach and manipulate objects, talk and/or hear. This position requires mobility. Duties require attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition and identification of participants that may need modification of instruction. This position requires the employee to have a high degree of energy, and be able to project their voice so that participants can hear instructions.brbrHOURS AND COMPENSATIONbrThis position can range from 2 - 3 hours per week.
