Performs inventory transactions, including transfer and location audits./ppbr/ppstrongResponsibilities of Material Handlers:/strong/pul type="disc"liMoves all materials to and from manufacturing areas. Keeps all ldquo;floorrdquo; inventory properly stocked and organized for efficient use by production/liliAccurately records all transactions and transfers and completes all forms as required/liliVerifies prescribed accuracy levels within assigned inventory locations/liliParticipates in the recount team during floor counts/liliUtilizes problem-solving methods to resolve inventory discrepancies/liliWorks with Receiving and operators to ensure prompt notification of items on the ldquo;hot list.rdquo;/liliFills picking locations in both warehouses on a daily basis and rotates stock properly. Maintains effective working relationships with other associates/liliPerforms duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed/liliMaintains a neat and orderly work area/liliActively participates in and supports teamwork and continuous process improvement/liliDemonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needs/liliServes as back-up to Shipping Department/li/ulpbr/ppstrongQualifications of Material Handlers:/strong/pul type="disc"liHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent education/liliAt least 18 years of age or older/liliPrevious experience as a CDL driver preferred, will require additional support for off-site warehouse and driving a short trucknbsp;/liliThree months or equivalent experience in inventory control with a strong math and organizational skills/liliAn understanding of materials flow is preferred. Computer knowledge helpful/liliMust be able to obtain forklift certification/liliAbility to effectively use power jack, pallet jack, calculator, electronic counting scale, 2-wheel hand cart, computer terminal, ladder, reach truck, order picker, RF data collection gun, automatic shrink wrapper/liliMust be able to lift up to 45 lbs. continuously and occasionally up to 75 lbs., sometimes in difficult work positions/liliMust perform job with a high level of accuracy and follow standard procedures for completing inventory transactions/liliStrong problem-solving skills/li/ulpbr/ppemOur customers come from all walks of life and so do we.
