The Paramedic relays information to employees and client key stakeholders regarding workplace safety and injury prevention as well as assuring compliance with health-related OSHA mandates./p p /p pstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liResponding to emergencies efficiently and promptly./li liAdministering basic first aid and medical support and assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses./li liPerform drug tests, hearing tests, pulmonary function and fit tests as necessary/li liEffectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action and following up accordingly./li liEffectively communicating, receiving and carrying out patient care plans given by the Overseeing Physician, Medical Director, or third-party providers as necessary/li liEffectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc./li liDemonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts./li liCreate an environment of trust and caring, which allows workers to take responsibility to reduce or eliminate actions or behaviors under their control that contribute to injury and illness./li liCommunicate regularly with key client site personnel regarding injury prevention activities./li liAttend meetings and serve on committees as requested./li /ul pstrongRequired Education, Skills Abilities:/strong/p pemstrongKey Skills Competencies/strong/em/p ul liMust have a valid state license/li li2+ years previous industry experience required/li li2+ years Occupational Health experience a plus/li liCurrent CPR/First Aid certifications required/li liCAOHC certified as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist is a plus/li liBreath alcohol technician (DOT) trained is a plus/li liUrine Drug Screening (DOT) trained is a plus/li liProficient with MS Office/li liPrior knowledge in the areas of Occupational Health, OSHA Recordability and Worker's Compensation preferred/li liStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees/li liPosition may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination/li /ul pAthletico provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Additional pay such as incentive, GAP, overtime, and stipends are subject to the rules of each program and may not be available in all locations. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time./p
