In the absence of Food Services Manager and Supervisors, the Operations Coordinator makes decisions to ensure all food services are being provided successfully, including staffing, purchasing and daily operations. This position does not directly manage any other caregiversspan./span/pdivp/p/divpbESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:/b/ppspanDesignated “person in charge”( PIC) in the absence of food services manager and supervisors./span/pp/ppspanProvides the highest level of administrative support within the food services department through professional and positive communications, clerical functions, project management, calendaring, and problem solving for the food services manager and other members of the food services leadership team as requested./span/pp/ppspanCoordinates functions of team meetings by scheduling, communications, and record keeping. /span/pp/ppspanPurchase / receive food, and supplies ensuring ample supply of all necessary products used to administer the food services operations. /span/pp/ppspanOrganizes food and supplies in a consistent manner to ensure ease of use./span/pp/ppspanWrites the department staffing schedule. Ensuring caregivers are scheduled into positions that best suit their strengths./span/pp/ppspanServes as the department timekeeper and payroll clerk, managing department caregiver timecards, processes manual time card edits and signs off on biweekly payroll to ensure caregivers are accurately paid/span/pp /ppspanDemonstrates effective skills and understanding of Microsoft Office and other pertinent software applications./span/pp/ppspanDemonstrates effective skills with communication, organization, and management of assigned work./span/pp/ppspanWork with little or no supervision, and to make sound decisions. /span/pp/ppspanSuccessfully work in a fast paced work environment with frequent interruptions, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality at all times. /span/pp/ppspanDraft reports, letters, minutes, and other materials. Performs secretarial duties as appropriate, including computer data entry/retrieval, using the following programs: Microsoft Office Applications, Kronos, etc./span/pp/ppspanMaintains adequate level of office supplies and office equipment./span/pp/ppspanTracks work orders and can initiate work orders as needed./span/pp/ppspanResponsible for all department cash handling, deposits, reconciling of cash, invoices, and check requests/span/pp/ppspanAssists with new caregiver orientation. Ensures new hires have mailbox, etc. /span/pp/ppspanProvides clerical support for all aspects of the hiring process, including scheduling of orientation and education.
