Back of the House (Kitchen) Job Description

This job role is vital to the success of Shane’s Rib Shack. Back of the House (BOH) positions include prep work, grill position, fryer position, steam table position, and dishwashing. BOH Staff members must be able to perform all duties in all areas of the kitchen to ensure fresh food, quality and speed of service.

Back of the House Qualifications

• Self-starter with ‘Whatever It Takes’ attitude and high sense of urgency
• Minimum 1+ years of Kitchen experience required including work on line on busy time, prep all the food related items, and doing dishes.
• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate teamwork skills
• Personal cleanliness
• Ability to multi-task
• Acts with integrity, honesty & knowledge that promotes the culture, values & mission of Shane’s Rib Shack.
• Reads orders off of the tickets and prepares orders accordingly
• Prepares menu items according to Shane's recipes, quality standards and presentation of food
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary workstation
• Handles all food and equipment following sanitation and hygiene standards and Health Department guidelines
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of Shane’s Rib Shack’s products and menu
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• We will give pay range between $11 to $15 depend on the experience.

Manager will give all the required training including prep food and handled the line.
