After School Care Worker

pstrongPosition Summary:/strong/p pbr /After school Care Aide will conduct the operations of the afterschool care program, monitor the learning center, and facilitate the students learning progress./p pstrongnbsp;/strong/p pstrongQualifications:/strong/p pbr /strongEducation/Certification:/strong/p pbr /Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college (preferred)/p pnbsp;/p pstrongExperience:/strong/p ul liSix months to one-year related experience or training (preferred)/li liExperience working with school age children/li /ul pstrongspan style="font-size: 10pt;"Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):/span/strong/p ul liAbility to work with children, love for children and learning/li liAbility to follow verbal and written instructions/li liAbility to communicate effectively verbally/li /ul pstrongResponsibilities and Duties:/strong/p ul liResponsible for the general supervision of the children./li liConduct group activities./li liAssist teacher in all areas of work./li liAssist students with academics and homework./li liAssist teachers in checking daily goals to ensure work is being completed./li liEnsure the safety and security of the children./li liMotivate students for maximum learning./li liAssist in maintaining discipline in the classroom./li liParticipate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops./li liInspire students with consistency, care, and interest to build studentsrsquo; self-esteem, and promote further success./li liPraise students, compliment them and encourage them in order to build character./li liUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the studentsrsquo; learning experience./li /ul pstrongEquipment Used:/strong/p pnbsp;/p pAll equipment required to perform jobs duties and task previously described./p pnbsp;/p pstrongPhysical / Environmental Factors:/strong/p pbr /The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
