Out of School Time Educator (Part-Time)

If so, we would love for you to apply and join our School's Out team at the Greendale Family Branch YMCA!nbsp;/ppbr//ppUnder the supervision of the Director of child Care Services, the Out of School Time Educator plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum geared to the needs of each child in his/her care/classroom/program, including the health amp; safety of the children and adherence to all YMCA Child Protection policies.nbsp;/ppbr//ppbr//ppstrongJob Duties:/strong/pulliSupervise a group of children and program activitiesnbsp;/liliFollow all policies, procedures, and standards as established by the law, the YMCA, all MA Departments of EEamp;C regulations; maintains the program site, equipment; and required program records/liliNurtures children through purposeful programming; plan activities that are intended to achieve program goals and outcomes, are developmentally appropriate and are consistent with the Y's values.nbsp;/liliCreates a positive rapport and shared interest with youth; models relationship-building skills in all interactions/liliProvides and welcomes ongoing dialogue with parents and caregivers about their child's needs and progress; connects families to the Y.nbsp;/liliProject a professional image, including a neat appearance, a positive manner and dependable attendance and be a role model for children families, and other staff.nbsp;/liliAttends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff trainings.nbsp;/liliPlate and serve a CACFP approved snack to children in your group./liliPerforms other duties as assigned.nbsp;/li/ulpbr//ppstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred/liliPrevious experience working with children (at least 6 months) requirednbsp;/liliMust be at least 18 years old/liliCPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required; or within 60 days of hire/liliChild Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hirenbsp;/liliPrevious experience working with diver populations preferrednbsp;/liliAbility to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds/li/ulpbr//ppstrongSchedule: /strongLet us know what your availability looks like!!
