Teacher Assistant

Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"Learn Academy, "formally Chrysalis Academy", a certified K – 12 private day school, is looking for full-time, year-round Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 school year! The TA will provide educational, behavioral and communication support to children with autism spectrum disorder, and related disorders under the direction of a Certified Special Education Teacher./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"strongThe starting pay is $18.50/hr /strong/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"This position is perfect for candidates that are generally interested to work with children with special needs and want to make a difference in their lives! It’s also a great opportunity for candidates with a background in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Healthcare./p Responsibilities: ulliImplement treatment plans using ABA techniques./liliDirectly support students with daily living activities./liliBehavior documentation and reporting./liliAbility to maintain professional relationships./liliWork independently and with supervisor to create treatment plans./liliCommunicate with supervisors and other colleagues consistently and professionally./liliAttend training, supervision, and mentor meetings./liliReceptive to constructive feedback in group and individual settings./liliMust be able to work independently and meet all clinical and administrative deadlines./li/ul Qualifications: ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliMinimum 3 years' experience working with children./liliPCM Certificate must be current./liliCourse work in related subject preferred./liliExperience in ABA preferred, not required. /liliMust have or willing to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card./liliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds./liliMust be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (stoop, reach, stand, kneel, squat, sit, walk, lift, pull, grasp) for extended periods of time./liliMust be willing and able to implement safety measures consistent with Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) such as: therapeutic holds and transportation procedures utilizing quick body movements in the course of maintaining the safety of students with special needs./li/ulp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"Chrysalis Academy offers a competitive compensation plan, comprehensive benefits and retirement plan, tuition assistance reimbursement, and referral bonuses.
