An understanding of sophisticated electrical distribution systems as well as the use of complex electrical test equipment is required. You will contribute to a safe working environment for co-workers and customers and help ensure the overall success of projects. Local, regional, and national travel is required, ability to travel internationally is preferred. /p ul liPerform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power distribution systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays./li liConduct insulation resistance testing, power factor testing, contact resistance testing, and other tests in accordance with NETA standards./li liAnalyze test results to determine the condition of equipment and recommend corrective actions if needed./li liStrong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, including experience with transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays./li liProficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as insulation resistance testers, power factor meters, contact resistance testers, and relay test sets./li liKnowledge of NETA standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety regulations./li liCoordinate, lead, and support multiple projects both onsite and in-house utilizing various company software systems, review and maintain job documentation, ensuring completeness of information from receipt of order to invoice./li liPerform testing of low and medium voltage cables, instrument and power transformers, switchgear, breakers, electro-mechanical and solid-state relays, and other electrical apparatus./li liContain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing appropriate control measures./li liRotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner./li liPromote an attitude of continuous improvement and teamwork./li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 ul liApplicants selected must hold a minimum of 7+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED/li liElectronics Installation and/or Maintenance on Multiple Systems/li liUsing trade drawings e.g.: architectural, electrical, mechanical and civil to identify potential design and installation problems./li liKnowledge of industry standards including sections of NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc./li liApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; strongAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance required. /strong/li /ul pstrongOne or More of the following is preferred:/strong/p ul liMilitary Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours)./li liGraduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program./li liGraduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program./li liOEM certified field service training program./li /ul pstrongCertifications (desired/advantageous):/strong/p ul liNETA level III, or IV preferred./li /ul pstrongWe offer an excellent benefits package including:/strong/p ul liA competitive salary/li liMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance/li liPaid time off/li liTuition reimbursement/li li401k Retirement Plan/li liMilitary Reserve pay offset/li liPaid maternity leave/li /ul p /p pstrongAbilities/strong/p ul liThe position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis.
