You will be responsible for providing love and quality care for the children and youth throughout the day in order to meet their emotional and physical needs.brbr/span/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"What You’ll Do/span/p ul lispanProperly follow daily schedule and implement daily and weekly lesson plan activities, both indoor and outdoor, that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program through whole group, small group, and individual activities /span/li lispanAssist with the supervision of children at all times in the classroom, bathroom, changing area, playground, in any area of campus,  and on field trips/span/li lispanInteract with children and youth both physically and verbally throughout the day /span/li lispanClearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children and youth understand/span/li lispanAssist children and youth with their personal hygiene and clean-up of classroom /span/li lispanServe and eat provided meals and snacks with the children and youth /span/li lispanBecome familiar with, understand, and follow state licensing requirements and Our House policies /span/li lispanUtilize and understand Conscious Discipline and SPARK curriculum/span/li lispanCollaborate with other team members to ensure the safety and well-being of all children/span/li lispanDiscuss identified problems and needs with professionals as appropriate/span/li lispanAttend trainings as determined by Our House/span/li lispanConduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House’s mission/span/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"What You’ll Bring/span/p ul lispanMinimum of 6 months experience working with children/span/li lispanFlexibility to fill staff positions as scheduled in advance and on short notice/span/li lispanAbility to work effectively with diverse staff, parents, and community members/span/li lispanAbility to multitask/span/li lispanConflict resolution skills with children/span/li lispanExcellent communication and people skills/span/li lispanPassion, integrity, and a positive attitude and be mission-driven and self-directed/span/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Requirements/span/p ul lispanAt least 18 years of age/span/li lispanHigh school diploma or GED required/span/li lispanMust be able to pass criminal background checks, child and adult maltreatment registry checks, sex offender registry checks, and a pre-employment drug screen/span/li lispanComplete a minimum of 30 clock hours of professional development each year/span/li lispanMust be able to lift 30 lbs/span/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Benefits Perks/span/p ul lispanEmployee Assistance Program /span/li lispanEligible for tuition discount at UA Little Rock/span/li /ul pbr/p pspanOur House is a drug-free workplace. /spanbr/p pspanOur House is an equal opportunity employer.
