Speech Pathology Assistant - Melrose, NM

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Melrose, NM. This is a contract role for the school year (NSY), providing an opportunity to work onsite with a full caseload across grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist certified Speech Language Pathologists with assessments and interventions for students with speech and language needs
• Implement individualized therapy plans under supervision
• Monitor and document student progress regularly
• Collaborate with educational teams to support communication goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of service plans

Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license is required
• Prior professional experience in a school environment preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with children across all grade levels

Hours and Location:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Onsite position in Melrose, NM
