Job Opportunity: Vault Toilet Cleaning and Trash Removal Services

We are looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to provide vault toilet cleaning and waste disposal services at the Big Sandy Recreation Area in Farson, WY. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are kept clean and sanitary for visitors, while also overseeing the routine collection and proper disposal of trash. A strong focus on cleanliness and a dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere for outdoor adventurers are essential for this role.

The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

Clean vault restrooms (total of 4) weekly located as
follows: 
Boat Ramp – Single Vault, 
West Camping Area – Double Vault, 
East Camping Area – Double Vault, 
Below Dam Camping Area – Double Vault

All restroom fixtures, toilet paper holders/dispensers, handles, grab bars, risers (inside
and out), floors, walls, windows, ceilings, door frames, and doors shall be cleaned and
disinfected as practically as possible.

Contractor shall use Envirox H₂Orange₂ Concentrate 117- Sanitizer/Virucide Cleaner or an equivalent EPA approved disinfectant cleaner. .

The contractor shall dilute smells from the toilets by pouring one pail of water into the
toilet vault along with septic tank treatment.

Contractor shall use BioWorld Vault Toilet Treatment, Toilet D-Odor, or an equivalent EPA approved deodorizer equivalent.

Odor mitigation efforts should align with manufacturer recommendations for
optimal effectiveness.

Clean is defined as: Practically possible free of dirt, dust, spots, streaks, stains, smudges,
litter, debris, and other residue.

Stain, Dirt, & Smudge Management: Due to the nature of vault toilets in
primitive camping areas, some permanent stains may exist and cannot be fully
removed. However, the contractor shall ensure that fresh stains, excessive dirt
buildup, dust accumulation, and visible smudges on surfaces are cleaned
regularly. 
High-contact areas, including toilet risers, grab bars, doors, and
dispensers, must be damp cloth wiped down and disinfected using EPA-approved
solutions to maintain a hygienic environment.

Disinfected is defined as: Cleaning to destroy any harmful micro-organisms which cause
disease or illness in humans. 
Contractor shall use Envirox H₂Orange₂ Concentrate 117-
Sanitizer/Virucide Cleaner or an equivalent EPA approved disinfectant cleaner.

Restock toilet paper for restrooms. 
Toilet paper shall be provided by the Contractor.
Contractor shall provide biodegradable, rapid-dissolving toilet paper suitable for vault
toilet use (e.g. Scott Rapid Dissolve or equivalent).

Stock each restroom with toilet paper. Ensure sufficient supplies for each restroom until
next scheduled service.

If dispensers become empty before the next scheduled servicing, the Contractor's phone
number shall be posted in the restroom and, when called, the Contractor shall return to
replenish them at no additional cost to the Government the following day.

Collect trash and haul to landfill weekly

Trash collection includes emptying garbage cans (6-8 receptacles) and replacing the liner
each time. Trash bags shall be provided by the Contractor. Landfill fees shall be the
responsibility of the Contractor.
Pick up trash and litter at these locations:
 Boat ramp
 Upper East Camping Area
 Lower East Camping Area
 West camping Area
 About a half mile of shoreline on east and west sides

The Contractor shall provide (when possible) recycled content, environmentally preferable, bio-based products and alternatives to hazardous or toxic chemicals. 
Supplies shall be used and disposed of in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
Any damage or vandalism found by the Contractor shall be reported within 24 hours of discovery

This needs to be done once every week, and the pay is $200 per visit, for a total of $800 per month (4 visits per month)

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 17 years or older
